Association of Online Community Moderators

Association of Online Community Moderators

As static online message boards transition to virtual world platforms, the moderators for these communities must become increasingly nimble, flexible, and outgoing.

In virtual worlds, moderators no longer have the luxury of reading and editing messages hours after they have been posted. Virtual world moderation demands live, in the moment, real time action in a vibrant, fast-moving community. This means moderators must be on their toes at all times, have great communication skills, and be able to keep up with rapid fire conversations coming at them from every angle.

Do you have what it takes to work as a professional moderator in this new age environment? Join a virtual world like Second Life and check it out.
